Chris Whitley died last Sunday of lung cancer. What a shame, he was exactly the singer/songwriter/guitarist that I would be, if I could be. He was 46. If you've never listened to Chris' music, do yourself a favour and hunt down a copy of "Living With the Law". Sometimes life just plain sucks, but the soundtrack has it's moments. |

That makes me very sad. "Din of ecstasy" is one of my favourite CDs and features incredible guitar playing, tones and vocals. He was young. |

While death is a part of life , the pain you feel reflects the way your soul was touched by them. |

Very good singer songwriter. I prefer his cd "dirt floor". |

This is sad news. I wore out my tape of "Living with the Law". |

If you want to hear a song that to me sounds like an epitaph check out "Made from Dirt" . He had a unique sound and a genuineness to his songwriting. |
